O Christmas Tree

You can see the MC one here at $795
Before

After

Anyone that knows me, knows I am a

Mackenzie-Childs

addict. I collect it, paint it, design with it...it's everywhere throughout my house!
So......when I saw the christmas tree they made with broken shards
I had to have one! Well, not one of theirs at

$795
for an 8" x 21" !!

Yowza!!

But I shall make one from my own broken shards for
$30
for a 5 1/2" x 19"

I think it turned out great! I am in love with it and it will
stay out all year round.
Tell me what you think!!

I am linking up with Susan at BNOTP for
Metamorphosis Monday
Won't you stop by there and take a peek at what
other bloghers are doing?

Warm Hugs,
Linda

Linda, you never stop amazing me. Of course this should stay out all year. It's lovely. But my question, I where did you get the shards? I cringe to think about the source.
Let me know how things are going with the new baby. Any trips planned? ~ sarah

Linda-Your tree truly looks like a MacKenzie piece!! I am searching for their 5 X 7 shard frame that they only make now in 8 X 10. I have 1 daughter's wedding picture in the one I have and REALLY want the same for the other daughter's wedding photo. Might you be willing to make one for me?? I can send you a photo of the one that I have. Let me know-your work is amazing!

Hi LInda-I sent you an email to the address that you gave me-but, ya never really know where they go. So, I'm leaving you another message about the 5 X 7 frame, AND an email address: josil14@aol.com. If you could get back to me-I'd LOVE to discuss the possibility of you making a frame for me. So excited! I have been searching for soo long. I hope your little grandson is doing well-my friend's daughter gave birth a couple weeks ago to a 1 1/2 lb. little girl who is doing very well (she was due in January when MY daughter is due, so it's all very real to me). get back to me when you can-Joan

Hi, Linda, I see you aren't blogging right now but I saw one of the CC christmas balls over at Sarah's and remembered you paint MC.
May I ask if you still do tree ornaments and your price.? If so, I would like to ask if I could get a few, spread out over the year? I am on a strict Social Security budget and have not much left over at the end of the month. :(
Anyway, I would LOVE to do a small CC tree next year and thought I might be able to do it if I could buy your pretties.
I just signed up to follow so I;ll know when you start blogging again.
I'd also LOVE to know where the shards came from for this amazing tree.???
Thanks so much.

LOVE this...Years ago M-C used to sell their shards for $7-10.00 each!! Love the items you painted for Hyacinths...I also imitate their courtly checks and call it "doodling"!! Off to see the rest of you blog!!

I adore MacKenzie Childs as well but not their prices, so I use them as inspiration. Please check out my blog...you may have to dig and find my MC pieces that I have done. You will enjoy them as much as I enjoy yours.
